Hello there! I am Miki. I just wonder if you know what's the most popular Japanese food(nihon syoku)? I am going abroad to study English and stay at American host family. I want to explain clearly what it is, serving food.. Please advise... Thanks.Redigera

Dear Miki, I think the most popular one is sushi. I think that most of all the foreigners have stereotypes that Japanese are eating only Sushi everyday, which is not true. Maybe they will be happy if you can explain what's the history of it and how to eat.Föreslå ändring

I also think Sushi is the most popular Japanese food.
My friend living in the States likes Okonomi yaki and meron pan very much.
Maybe you can introduce those to your host familiy.
